Family Bike & Trike Sale DROP-OFF
3:00-7:00 pm, Waitsfield Elementary School
On Friday afternoon, bring your bikes to sell. The sale starts Saturday at 9:00 am [see below].
New This Year: Free bicycle safety checks and helmet fittings will be available at the Friday Drop-Off, as well as at the Sale, so bring along all your children's bikes, including those you plan to keep, as well as helmets. Safety checks will include an overall inspection of shifters, chains, brakes, tire inflation, and fit. Discounted helmets will also be available for purchase, both at the Drop-off and at the Sale.

Beginner bike tour
10:00 am, Sugarbush Pond/ Kingsbury Greenway
Join Sugarbush Bike Coach John Atkinson for a spring tune-up of beginner bike skills! We will cover bike checks, and the basics of steering, braking, pedaling and riding in a safe, fun learning environment. Helmets required, eye protection, gloves and padding recommended. 1.5 - 2 hours, weather permitting for locations and trails.

Warren Path to Warren Vista Trail Hike
6:00-7:30 pm, Mad River Path trailhead beside recreation fields behind Warren School
Moderate to vigorous hike along the Mad River Path to the Warren Vista. Join us for an evening hike to learn more about the Warren Path and to explore off-trail on the Eaton Parcel. Hike will include a small rock scramble. Hiking shoes recommended.

Millbrook Trail Hike
8:00 am, Parking Lot on German Flats Road, across from Fayston School
Join Dori Ross for a 1-1.5 hour vigorous hike on the Millbrook Trail. Waterproof footwear is advisable.
Moms On Bikes
6:00 pm, Mountain Bike Ride
The MOB invites women to join a beginner level mountain bike ride, roughly 10 miles. Details (starting point, route, etc.) available 5/15, once we know more about the trail conditions. [UPDATE: Ride CANCELLED due to wet/muddy trail conditions, "the wettest Spring on record in Vermont"]

Mad River Riders Ride
5:30-7:00 pm, Stark Mountain Bike Works
The Mad River Riders will include a special beginner ride along with their regular Thursday evening ride series. "Regulars" know what to expect and can help you pick the appropriate ride. New riders can join Peter Oliver for a 1.5 hour beginner ride on local roads.

Bike-to-Work and Bike-to-School!
Each Valley town will have bike and walk event planned, and everyone else can make plans to bike, walk or car-pool to work.
West Greenway Walk
8:00 am, Greenway parking lot at Meadow Road
Join Laura Brines, MRPA President, for a ~2mile out-and-back walk along the West Greenway to the Gazebo by the Mad River. Good walking shoes recommended.

Way to Go! Commuter Challenge
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the eighth annual Way to Go! Commuter Challenge, which will take
place May 16-20, 2011. This event encourages the use of healthier, more earth-friendly transportation, and less
expensive alternatives to driving alone. Everyone who commits to walk, bike, telecommute, carpool, take the
bus or use any alternative to driving solo will receive free giveaways and be entered in a drawing to win great
